Rogue
Creation
This illustration consists of triangular shapes to recreate shadow and light across the face. Extra attention was given to the area around the eyes, to produce shapes and tones for the face. Created in Adobe Photoshop and finished in Adobe InDesign for the typography.
The Image represents a generalised style seen on magazine covers, inspired by the style of Vogue magazine. Everything is in low-poly for the illustration, except for the head piece, hair and shirt of the model.
Overview
Rogue is a fictitious magazine company based on Vogue.
Here we have a model enhanced into a low poly model. This art form was common in the early console gaming years or the 90’s,
when low-poly images were used because of the data restrictions of the limited tech available at the time.
The font for Rogue is Adobe Jenson Pro, 146pt in semi bold. This I found was the closes
to the iconic Vogue name without directly copying from “Adobe font”. Kochin, Baskerville and Canela were used for the type fonts.
