Overview
Was a project for the fictitious company called GELOS. Featuring design elements in Adobe Photoshop working with layers and merging the ground with the shoe and using Adobe InDesign for the typographical elements combining into a layered advertisement.
Typography
The Typography was custom made, based on the Rockwell and Berlin Sans, primarily going for a geometric San-serif style. I wanted to theme around the forest and ground like getting back to nature, I wanted to keep it fresh and modern, but with a twist—suggesting the ground or dirt, which is where the metallic brown hues and gradients were wdeveloped from.
Background
Some techniques where layering images behind and in front of the shoe to create the illusion of it sitting in a forest area. The image was duplicated and varies parts where erased down to pixel details, the background has a Gaussian blur to strengthen the visual show of the shoe, and to help with legibility. The dirt is a separate image that was layered and “Cleaned up” to blend into the foliage.
